2025 RuralBiz Training Scholarships

Are you wanting to advance your agricultural knowledge and skills to the next level? Are you seeking to prepare yourself for more career opportunities or improve your current farming enterprise?

We are giving you the opportunity to apply for one of two RuralBiz Training Full-Fee Scholarships, for study to commence in 2025!

These scholarships are designed to assist people living in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia to access flexible online agricultural training without leaving their farm.

Rhiannon (pictured top-right), is one of our previous RuralBiz Training Scholarship recipients who is currently completing a Diploma of Agriculture.

You can select from the following courses:

 

Eligibility:

  • You must meet the eligibility requirements as detailed on the course page for your chosen course.
  • You must have regular and ongoing access to a farm that you can base your assessment tasks on.
  • You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • You must reside in a Regional, Rural or Remote area defined as RA Code 2(RA2), RA Code 3(RA3), RA Code 4 (RA4), or RA Code 5 (RA5) on the ASGS Remoteness Area Map 2021. You can check your RA zone by entering your address and reading the ASGS Remoteness Areas classification in the box below the address bar: Remoteness Area Map .
  • You must complete the form below and a course enrolment application - if you are not successful in being awarded a scholarship you will be given the option of a standard enrolment or withdrawing your enrolment application.

Applications close Tuesday 28 January 2025. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of applications in February 2025. Successful applicants are expected to complete all required enrolment procedures by 28 February 2025.

* Additional entry requirements for AHC51920 Diploma of Applied Agronomy: Completion of AHC50122 Diploma of Agriculture (or similar); completion of soils units at a high level of competency (AHCSOL406 Sample soils and interpret results, AHCSOL505 Monitor soils for production; at least three years’ experience in commercial crop production management or agronomy related services. Students will also be required to complete a minimum of two weeks work experience with an agronomist.
