SafeWork NSW Pilot Program: Improving Connectivity for Farmers

Boost Your Connectivity with either a Mobile Signal Booster or Mobile Satellite Internet System.

SafeWork NSW is piloting a program to improve mobile connectivity, signal strength, and reliability for farmers. This pilot will test the use of ACMA approved mobile signal boosters (eg: Cel-Fi) and mobile satellite internet systems (eg: Starlink Roam or Mobility) to address connectivity and communication issues in the agriculture industry.

Who is Eligible?

The pilot program is open to farmers operating small farming/agriculture businesses in the Trangie to Burcher region of NSW who:

  • Work remotely or are isolated and need better connectivity/communication to address WHS isolation risks. The rebate does not cover items purchased for recreational or domestic purposes.
  • Have a farming/agriculture business as their primary source of income.
  • Have not received a small business rebate in the past 5 years.
  • Must meet all eligibility criteria and terms and conditions for the small business rebate program.

Eligible farmers can claim up to $1,000 through the Small Business Rebate towards the purchase of a mobile signal booster or a mobile satellite internet system.
